Of course, the Good Guys host awesome car shows all over the country, all year long. For a complete schedule, check out our Events Page. I wish I could go to them all, but alas I cannot. But I go to the Pleasanton CA show just about every chance I get. The Good Guys are based in Pleasanton, and until recently, so was I. This allows them to have four shows per year in Pleasanton, more than in any other location, and has allowed me to go a lot. Now I have moved from the Bay Area and live in Northern California’s gorgeous Gold Country. It’s now a 2-hour drive for me. But I gladly do it. This show, not just any car show, but this show is a real high point for me. First off, the Alameda County Fairgrounds is a fantastic location for a car show like this. There’s lots of open grassy space with plenty of shade. The area is still reasonably safe, by Bay Area standards, so you don’t have to worry about your car in the parking lot. The people are not only friendly, but happy. The weather is usually good (although you never know about the November show). And the cars these shows attract are nothing short of drool-inducing! But not only is this a stupendous car show, there is so much more to do and see that you can’t get around to it all in a full day of show going. I’M SHOWING MY CAR AT THE GOOD GUYS CAR SHOW-NOVEMBER 2016
I recently purchased a 2005 Mustang GT, and while it’s certainly nothing fancy or exceptional, it is a 100% original car (other than tires and brake pads) and a total creampuff. I decided not just to attend this Good Guys Car Show-November 2016, but to actually enter a car in the show and show it. I can’t remember the last time I’ve done it, or indeed if I ever have. Certainly never in a show of this size. So it will be interesting and enlightening, and will be something that I want to cover for my viewers. Maybe you show your car all the time, but this will be a new experience for me, and perhaps for some of you out there. Ride shotgun with me on this adventure.
