1973 Chevy Camaro

1973 CHEVY CAMARO BACKGROUND
Chevy had dropped the SS option for the 1973 Chevy Camaro, along with the 396 big block engine option. They added a new model, the LT, sort of European for “Lusso Turismos” or Light Touring. It wasn’t meant to be a muscle car, it was more of a sport GT. This would also be the last year for the elegant split-bumper Rally Sport option. Federal crash standards would force the adoption of a rather ungainly new front end starting in 1974.
